K-pop (Korean: 케이팝; RR: keipap), short for Korean popular music, is a form of popular music originating in South Korea as part of South Korean culture. It includes styles and genres from around the world, such as pop, hip hop, R&B, rock, jazz, gospel, reggae, electronic dance, folk, country, disco, and classical on top of its traditional Korean music roots. The term "K-pop" became popular in the 2000s, especially in the international context. The Korean term for domestic pop music is gayo (Korean: 가요; Hanja: 歌謠), which is still widely used within South Korea. While "K-pop" can refer to all popular music or pop music from South Korea, it is colloquially often used in a narrower sense for any Korean music and artists associated with the entertainment and idol industry in the country, regardless of the genre.

BLACKPINK - Born Pink (2022)

Born Pink is the second full-length album by BLACKPINK. It was released on September 16, 2022 with "Shut Down" serving as the album's title track.
"Pink Venom" was pre-released on August 19, 2022.
The physical album comes in nine versions: Pink, Black, Gray, KiT, Vinyl, and four member-specific Digipacks.
On August 1, 2022, a 'Born Pink' announcement trailer was posted on the group's social media accounts announcing that the group will be releasing a pre-release single in August, an album in September, and starting a world tour in October. On August 10, a teaser poster announced that the name of the album is Born Pink and will released on September 16, 2022. Pre-orders for the album started on August 11, 2022. On August 24, YG Entertainment revealed that BLACKPINK are filming the music video for the title track for Born Pink at Gyeonggi province. They also added that the title track will shock the fans and that the music video will raise the status of Kpop quality to something that hasn't been seen before.

BLACKPINK - The Album (2020)

THE ALBUM is the debut Korean-language studio album by South Korean girl group Blackpink, released on October 2, 2020, via YG Entertainment and Interscope. The album was first confirmed by YG Entertainment and comes on the heels of two pre-release singles, “How You Like That” released in June and “Ice Cream” in August alongside Selena Gomez. When the latter released, the pre-orders for THE ALBUM began, surpassing over 800 thousand sales worldwide within a week and a million pre-sales hours away from the release.

On September 27, 2020, “Lovesick Girls” was confirmed to be the title track off THE ALBUM, followed by the release of a concept teaser. The next day, the official tracklist was announced.
