K-pop (Korean: 케이팝; RR: keipap), short for Korean popular music, is a form of popular music originating in South Korea as part of South Korean culture. It includes styles and genres from around the world, such as pop, hip hop, R&B, rock, jazz, gospel, reggae, electronic dance, folk, country, disco, and classical on top of its traditional Korean music roots. The term "K-pop" became popular in the 2000s, especially in the international context. The Korean term for domestic pop music is gayo (Korean: 가요; Hanja: 歌謠), which is still widely used within South Korea. While "K-pop" can refer to all popular music or pop music from South Korea, it is colloquially often used in a narrower sense for any Korean music and artists associated with the entertainment and idol industry in the country, regardless of the genre.

PSY - PSY 6 (Six Rules), Part 1 (2012)

PSY 6 (Six Rules), Part 1 (싸이6甲 Part.1) is the sixth full-length album by PSY. It was released on July 15, 2012 with "Gangnam Style" serving as the album's title track.
The album was originally scheduled to be released in two parts. However Part 2 was ultimately not released after PSY explained during the press conference for Chiljip PSY-Da that he wanted to get away from "Gangnam Style" and do something new. As he has been in the industry for 15 years and had not released many full albums, he decided to skip Part 2 to prepare for his seventh album instead. Lastly, he wanted PSY 6 (Six Rules), Part 1 to stand by itself as due to the nature of the times, it would be better to move up to the next number as he didn't know when the full album would be released.
